Bachelor of Education is a Two Years’ regular Course. Mehar Chand College has an intake of 200 seats of B.Ed. which are approved by Government of Punjab, Affiliated to Punjabi University Patiala and Recognised by National Council for Teacher Education. For admission to B.Ed.; a candidate must possess a Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree with atleast 50% marks (for General Candidates) or 45% marks (For SC/ST/OBC) category. Every year, the admission to the B.Ed. Course is strictly done as per the latest notification of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab.
D.El.Ed. or E.T.T. is a Two Years’ regular Course. Mehar Chand College has an intake of 50 seats of D.El.Ed. which are approved by Government of Punjab, Affiliated to S.C.E.R.T. Punjab and Recognised by National Council for Teacher Education. For admission to D.El.Ed.; a candidate must possess a Senior Secondary Certificate atleast 50% marks (for General Candidates) or 45% marks (For SC/ST) category and must have studied English, Punjabi, Hindi, Social Studies, Science, Mathematics at Matriculation Level. Every year, the admission to the D.El.Ed. Course is strictly done as per the latest notification of the S.C.E.R.T. Punjab.
